sport. While we hope for our Olympic application to succeed, for now, our focus
is on this important championship. WSF combines the annual Individual World
Junior Championships with the biennial Men’s Team championships to showcase a
large gala of the very best of young talent in the world all in one place. We
can be certain that all the players and officials will receive a very warm
Indian welcome in Chennai, as ever, and that the hosts have made every effort
to manage the event in an effective and efficient manner. We especially thank
Championship Director, Cyrus Poncha and his team, SRFI, the venue management
and of course all the suppliers and supporters who make this championship
happen. Thanks also to the band of referees who do such a great job; and we
wish all the players, managers, coaches, spectators and other visitors an
